Hie NEW world !
September 2nd, 2008Hie guys ,
This is the 1st time I’m posting here , and it’s also the 1st post on this blog by someone else besides Christien … and it’s going to be a regularity in the near future .
Ok , a little introduction on myself before we proceed . My name is David Lai . You can see me at the new website , the guy who’s frowning and holding a bent fork . If you don’t know what I do for a living , you might be thinking I’m some kind of nut . I’m not , and hey ! If you thought that I WAS some kind of nut , I’m hurt !
I’m a mentalist and at the moment being , I’m under Christien’s event management group . What’s a mentalist ? It’s someone who uses mentalism to entertain people . Yes , the word here is `entertain’ . Now what the friggin pancakes is mentalism ? Mentalism , my friend , is a subdivision of magic using psychological forces and suggestions . In lay man terms , I try to read your mind by the reactions you give out . Not a bad kind of job eh ?
At current times , I’m juggling REALLY hard with engineering and the entertainment world . I plan to quit my science based job in the middle of next year , but for now , I’m still `juggling’ …and the odds of the balls staying up aren’t so good . STRESS ! I’m moving around everywhere ! At 22 , I certainly hope thats a good sign . =)

Me , James Wong , Christien New and Lavin Seow at one of our clubbing night out !From now on , I’ll try to update regularly on my life here . Stay tune guys .=)
-David Lai
Note: Christien was rather drunk when this pic was taken hahaha

August 25th, 2008Malay Mail, Celebrities join Adidas to help kids’ homeBy Sujartha K. August 05, 2008 Categories: Your CommunityWhat’s RM300 to you? It might mean a swanky new hairdo to you or even a pair of the latest jeans this season. Perhaps, if you’re lucky enough, it covers your petrol bills for a month. For Rumah Hope, a sanctuary for abused, neglected and underpriviledged kids, that sum amounts to the upkeep of one child, “taking into account subsidised medical and transport costs,” says director of Rumah Hope Alice Santha Paul.“Rumah Hope aims to provide a suitable social setting with physical and emotional care to the children who have been deprived of these necessities in life. We rely solely on public donations,” she said.
Which is why Adidas stepped in to help raise funds for the home, which takes care of 60 children in Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya. The sportswear brand rallied celebrities to take part in its celebrity Futsal Charity event, which Celebrities join Adidas to help kids’ home was held last Friday at Real Sports Arena in Klang.Scores of celebrities put on their trainers as they took to the pitch in aid of charity. Those who turned up included Ash Nair, Andrew Westwood, Christien New, Zahiril Adzim, Baki Zainal, Amirul Affendi and Henry Golding. The public event featured a special celebrity performance by Ash Nair and was emceed by Pamela and Vanessa Chong from Amazing Race Asia Season 2. The event raised a total of RM21,600 comprising RM13,500 worth of goods and RM8,100 in cash.
“We would like to thank all our kind donors, especially Adidas for their benevolence and generosity in trying to give these children a brighter future. We appeal to you for financial assistance because without you, our children’s necessities will not be served and met,” said Paul. Rumah Hope started in 1994 as an outreach of Good Hope Church in aid of five children and as a sanctuary for the abused, neglected and underprivileged aged between five to 17. Want to help out? Find out more about the home by logging on to www.rumahhope.org.

This is just one of the many kids that was from Rumah Hope. Totally adorable right??? She called Joshua, our photographer, to take his pic and even ask how the camera works. Smart kid!!!
it all began here….
As I arrived, I was being brief before the game ….. I think …… hahha
Warming up session
ok ok , I am totally out of shapeeee
I think this is the part where we sang Negara Ku, not only Olympics k…
They also took my handprint as part of the opening gig
and the results ….
I was asked to officiate the event by kicking the ball into the net …… the only thing in my head was - what if I miss?
omg, this is gonna be so bad…ok easy boy easy…just stay focus. Don’t do what that dude (what ever his name was that missed the penalty kick in the world cup)…. just focussss
ok here goes…. nothing
wah really like Olympics lah…
little did they notice that ……
let the game begin…
my first shot of the day…..
Later, as I was making my move… Little did I know I was going to be viciously tackled… by Baki Zainal
As I was about to fall, I decided to take a closer look at the ball…. hmmm Adidas huh… hahahhah
and down I went, looks like I am doing a slow dance with the net huh
and guess what, he said…”no not me, I did not do it, maybe somebody else”…. this Baki ahhhh!@#$%
can you believe that….. look how innocent he tries to look…. all football players are a bunch of liars! hahahh
so the next time that same guy comes near, I just kick only lah..
before I kena another “slow dance on the floor again” hehehe
again the same guy kick me from the back (belakang mari)… see him running away, cool only kan… horrible lahhhh
koyak lahhhhh
during the interview, I went… “yeah it was a good game, no no…. my oponents are really friendly… yah yah, they did not trip me, I just fell down myself”….. what to do, gotta be a nice guy right… see how hard is it to be in my shoes hahah
see how happy Baki claps as I made that statement….. I can’t believe it mannnnn
anyway, I’ve decided to give my shoes to one of the boys from Rumah Hope that I thought had great potential in the game
my jersey…
even my shorts …. hahahha. Ok that part censored lah….
Anyway, It makes my day just to see a smile ….
we also celebrated Jennifer Eu’s birthday, she is one of the contestant for the Firm
had a great time with Pamela n Vanessa’s mom. She is such a cool mom…. hey I am open for an adoption…

Pretty faces by SETO KIT YAN
Four career women strive to achieve their ultimate goals – but these come with a price. Although the female stars of Her Many Faces say the show is neither like Sex in the City nor Desperate Housewives, it definitely has enough of similarly juicy elements – extramarital affairs, romantic entanglements, unwanted pregnancies, office politics, underhand dealings – to spice up the proceedings. The eighth joint production between Ntv7 and Singapore’s Mediacorp, it stars Singaporean actors Cynthia Koh and Alan Tern alongside Malaysians Lavin Seow, Wayne Chua, Phyllis Sim, Alan Yun, Kelvin Liew, Kyo Chen, William San, Josh Lai and Steve Yap.The 25-episode series tells of the challenges faced by four beautiful young career women – Jia-wen, Shu-ling, Mei-shan and Ella – as they climb their way up the corporate ladder, and their endeavours to juggle their equally complicated love lives.Jia-wen’s (Koh) dedication to work gets her promoted from salesperson to assistant brand manager at E-max but also results in her losing Zi-jian (Yun) to her good friend Shu-ling (Seow).
